Spend time in the church, view the restored wooden interior and the new stained glass window, and listen to the glorious music of the restored 1904 Jenkins pipe organ.

Watch the video of the rebuild process. The devastating earthquakes of 2011 shattered the brick walls of the 1902 church but the wooden pillars and roof remained standing.  The rebuild of Knox Church became for Christchurch residents an inspiration and an example of strength.

The interior structure was retained and the exterior was rebuilt using modern materials.  The original Jenkins pipe organ was extended and rebuilt, and the rebuilt church was first used at Christmas 2014. In 2018 a replacement stained glass window was generously donated and installed.
