Our contractors will be carrying out work on the kerb & channels, pavement restoration, drainage works, road markings, signs, bollards, path repairs, path retaining and a new indented bus stop and platform island. |

Why |
We need to convert the current ‘in-lane’ bus stop to an ‘indented’ bus lane. An intended bus lane will mean buses pull out of the flow of traffic to pick up and drop off passengers. |

Details
What you need to know:
- There will be cones and construction vehicles whilst work is being carried out.
- Two lanes of traffic and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
- Work will be rescheduled if the weather is bad.
- There may be periods of noise and vibration, although we will aim to keep this to a minimum.
- The tree next to the bus stop will not be affected in any way.
The work will involve:
- Indenting the bus stop. To do this we’ll be removing the existing bus platform and constructing a new island.
- Constructing a pedestrian crossing platform.
- Resurfacing the footpath with asphalt.
- Reshaping the berm and making minor kerb repairs.
- Making any adjacent repairs for the road, footpath or berm.
Please be aware of the following hazards:
- Movement of construction equipment around the site.
- Uneven surfaces on the footpath.
- Restricted traffic movement due to traffic management plan.
- Pedestrians and cyclists.
Driveway access:
- Access to properties will be maintained.
- However, we may need to work in front of driveways from time to time.
- We will try to give you plenty notice of this. However, if you need to get into or out of your property and we are in the way, please just talk to one of our friendly staff and we will make sure you can use your driveway.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
