Aorangi Road/Condell Avenue/Matsons Avenue - investigation work

What

We’ll be working on the road investigating the location of underground services.

Why

These works will confirm what is under the road. This will help us to plan the most efficient construction approach for several large projects in the area from late 2024.

Where

Aorangi Road (between Ilam Road and Condell Avenue), Condell Avenue (between Matsons Avenue and Blighs Road) and Matsons Avenue (between Condell Avenue and Harewood Road).

When

Starting now until the end of May 2024. Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm (weather/site condition dependent).

Contact

The contractor is Isaac Construction. Phone Hayley Ching on 027 323 0056 or email communications@isaac.co.nz. Please advise Hayley if you have any specific property access requirements e.g. medical visits, large deliveries, home help and any planned works.

Details

We'll be doing some investigation work on Condell Avenue, Matsons Avenue and Aorangi Road starting now until the end of May 2024. This work will help us plan the most efficient construction approach for the following projects:

  • Matsons Avenue and Aorangi Road wastewater renewal
  • Matsons Avenue and Aorangi Road kerb and channel renewals
  • Condell Avenue street renewal
  • The next stage of the Nor'West Arc Cycleway

Construction of these projects is not programmed to begin until later in 2024. We'll provide more information closer to the time.

Investigation work is required to understand the underground service location and condition, as well as any potential clashes or risks to construction.

As these projects are located in the same area, we're using this opportunity to combine our investigation work.

We’ll soon provide more detailed information about the traffic impacts and key dates that will apply to the streets and roads around your residence or business during this investigation work. Please keep an eye on your letterbox.

An overview of the location and timeline of these traffic impacts can be found below.

We know this work can be disruptive, and we appreciate your co-operation and understanding.
