Cashmere / Hackthorne Road - water supply main renewals : Christchurch City Council

What	The renewal of water supply mains from Cashmere to Hackthorne Road.
Why	To replace and upgrade existing water mains and lateral connections which has reached its end of lifecycle.
Where	79 Cashmere Road to 17 Hackthorne Road, Cashmere.
When	13 June 2022 to 22 July 2022. Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm (weather/site condition dependent).

Traffic management will be installed to keep both road users and workers safe.
Please be aware, reduced speed limits will be in place during construction works.
During construction works, both the water supply mains and lateral connections to the property boundary will be accessed including work across berms and footpaths.
The new water main will be tested and you will be informed via another letter drop prior to any water shut down.
Pedestrian access will be maintained. Vehicle access to properties may be affected through the day but will be reinstated in the evening using steel plates if required.
On road parking will be limited during the works.
Please advise us if you have specific access requirements: eg.- medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries and any planned works.
Night works will occur during the project construction.

There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.

Bins

Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
