Where

Colombo Street from Bealey Ave to the Avon River Bridge

When

21 March to July 2022 Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (weather/site condition dependent).

Contact

The contractor is Schick Civil Construction. Phone James Flower on 021 371 272, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Details

In the past week we completed the installation of kerb and channels, road shoulder construction, new drainage sumps and installation of new traffic signals at the Kilmore Street and Colombo Street intersection.

This week we will start on the road resurfacing on Colombo Street between Salisbury Street and Kilmore Street. This has been scheduled to start on Monday 2 May 2022. This work will be completed during day time hours (approximately five days) and will involve a one way traffic system whilst the resurfacing work is being completed.

Work will also continue at the intersection of Kilmore Street and Colombo Street and include:

  • Planter bed installation
  • Pavement construction
  • Footpath construction

Work at the Colombo Street and Peterborough Street intersection will continue in early May. This will include the installation of  new cycle stands and seats followed by the resealing of the footpath by Friday 6th May.
