Details

As part of the High Street Upgrade works the tram network is being extended. In January 2022 and running for approximately 6 weeks works will take place to install the remaining tram poles and overhead wires for the tram network. This work will be completed during the day and overnight as some of the tasks require working in the road.

Over this period there will be different traffic management set up to allow for the works to take place. There will be a new works notice for each week detailing the works and traffic management for that week.

Week 2

From Monday 17th January to Wednesday 19th January new tram poles will be installed the High Street and Poplar Street corner, which will require the footpath on this corner to be closed. This work will be completed during the day.

On Thursday 20th January tram poles will be installed at the southern end of High Street. There will be a northbound lane closure in place on High Street coming from the intersection with Tuam Street whilst this takes place. This work will be completed at night.

Detours will be in place so please follow the signage.

Pedestrian access will be maintained, please follow the signage. The speed limit around the site is 30kph so we can keep the workers safe.

We know this work is disruptive so we appreciate your patience whilst these works are taking place. Our contractors will be working hard to complete the works as quickly as possible, whilst staying safe. Please be safe and be kind.
