Details

The work is going to be carried out in stages from Monday 13 April.

As part of the final stage of the Richmond Neighbourhood Greenway, we will be installing:

  • Speed humps
  • Road paint markings in the carriage way
  • Wayfinding signage

Additionally:

  • Kerb and channel repairs
  • Berm and footpath repairs
  • Man-hole raising

Traffic impacts:

  • We will have Staged Road Closures as detailed on the map below.
  • Please take notice of the No Parking cones and signs, which we’ll put out in advance of the work. If your vehicle remains in our work area, we may need to tow it to a nearby location outside our work site to keep our work on schedule.
  • If you need to use your vehicle during our work hours, please move your vehicle from this road before 7am each morning and return it to your property after 6pm. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
  • If you unexpectantly need to use your vehicle during our work hours and require access through the work site, you can contact our team via the contact information above or talk directly with the onsite traffic management spotter, and we will do our best to make safe access available for you. Please expect delays.
  • Please let us know if you have any specific requirements for property access, i.e., for medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries/moving, or other planned work on your property.
  • Pedestrian access will remain open.

No work will be carried out, and the site will be unattended during rainy days. If weather delays cause the project to fall behind schedule, work may be carried out on a Saturday. If this happens, we will give you notice to move your car before we close the road.

Please be aware of the following hazards:

  • Movement of construction equipment in and around the site.
  • Emulsion is a hot product and is applied at 80–90 degrees Celsius.
  • We advise staying inside your property during the application process, to keep everyone safe. This includes keeping children and pets indoors when this work is being carried out.
  • Residue from new surfaces, like asphalt or chipseal, can stick to your shoes or car tyres after the first few days of work being completed. Please be mindful of this when entering your garage or home.
  • A vehicle movement plan will be in place for diggers, trucks, and rollers – please take care around excavated surfaces and trenches during construction.
  • Surfaces may be uneven at times; we will aim to minimize this.
  • There may be periods of noise and vibration – we will aim to keep this to a minimum.

We know this work can be disruptive and we’re grateful for your cooperation and understanding.
