We’re replacing the current traffic signals, installing new ducting and making changes to the kerb and channel to support this new infrastructure. |

These traffic signals have reached the end of their useable life and are ready for an upgrade. The introduction of a new right-turn phase from Greers Road (south) aims to help ease congestion associated with essential wastewater upgrades in Ilam. |
Where |
The Greers Road and Memorial Avenue intersection, Burnside. |
When |
31 August 2025 to end of September 2025. Sunday to Friday, (weather/site condition dependent). Work will be carried out both at night and during the day during this period. Where required the team will undertake work on Saturdays during the day. |

From Sunday 31 August 2025, we’ll be upgrading the traffic signals at the Memorial Avenue and Greers Road intersection.
Temporary traffic management will be in place on Memorial Avenue and Greers Road while we complete this work.
Until late September, our contractors will work 24 hours a day at the intersection, where required. This will help us to reduce our overall disruption at the intersection.
