Details
This is the final stage of a project to renew damaged sections of the brick barrel stormwater drain. The damage threatens the structural integrity of the drain and needs to be repaired.
The work will be staged and completed in three sections (shown on map).
Traffic impacts
Traffic management will be in place to enable the work to be carried out safely.
- The road width on Ferry Road will be reduced at each worksite during work in that section, but two-way traffic will be maintained for locations near Osborne and Hart Street.
- A 30km/h speed restriction will be in place.
- Cycle lanes around the worksites will be closed, and cyclists will share the traffic lane. Cyclists should not overtake vehicles as there is not enough road space. Drivers should take extra caution and be patient with cyclists who may not be able to travel at 30km/h.
- Please expect delays and allow extra travel time.
- On-street parking around each worksite area will be temporarily removed during work in that section.
- During work near Hart Street vehicle access in and out will be restricted during work hours. Resident access will be provided by the contractor.
- Property access will be maintained for most properties. However, restricted vehicle access during work hours will affect properties directly opposite the works.

There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
