Traffic impacts

The majority of the work will happen between 7am to 6pm, Saturdays to Sundays. There is the possibility a small amount of work will need to be done after 6pm or overnight.  Another works notice will be issued with details if this is required, and we will contact affected residents and businesses directly.

Information for residents and businesses:

  • Access to properties and businesses for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclist will be maintained around the work site where possible.
  • We will help people get around the site. Please advise out team if you have specific requirements e.g. medical visits, large deliveries, home help or any planned works.
  • At times, we will need to remove on-street parking to allow space for the works, and to keep everyone safe.
  • There will be increased construction noise and vibration at times, and we will do our best to keep this to a minimum.
  • The work will have no impact on any services, such as water, electricity, telecommunications and gas.
  • The timing of the work and certain activities will depend on the weather and the roads. We will provide updates if there are any changes to the planned works.
  • Temporary traffic management (road cones, signs) will be installed as part of the works. There may be some traffic delays and changes to traffic management.  Please follow all signage and instructions from our team on-site.
  • We will put a number of traffic management layouts in place to keep our team safe while we complete this work.
  • These will include reductions in lane widths, lane closures and the temporary removal of on-street parking in the working area.
  • A 30 km/h speed limit will be in place so we can keep our team and everyone safe.

We know this work can be disruptive, and we appreciate your co-operation and understanding.
