Details
We are reshaping a patch of the road within the intersection of Hereford Street and Linwood Avenue.
These works are required to take place at night to minimise the impact on the high volume of traffic that passes through this intersection during the day.
The works include, but are not limited to:
- Asphalt cutting and removal
- Rework of the sub-surface
- Raising the junction box to sit flush with the new surface
- Application of new asphalt
- Line marking
Our contractors will do their utmost to complete the noisiest of the works early in the night to minimize the impact to residents in the area.
Traffic Impacts:
Detours
- Right turn onto Hereford Street from Linwood Avenue will not be permitted. Please use alternative routes.
- No exit from Hereford Street onto Linwood Avenue. Please use alternative routes.
- Hereford Street will be closed from property number 622 to the intersection. Residents living within the closure will need to wait to be granted access through the closure into and out of their property as requried.
- Lane closures will be in place on Linwood Avenue around the work area, please follow the guided routes.
- Please adhere to all signage in place and follow the instructions of the crew where requried.
- Please allow extra travel time if you will be affected by the closures.
Pedestrian access
- Pedestrian access will be available via marked routes with signs advising where to go.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
