Project update

Now the existing Halswell Junction Road level crossing has been closed permanently, works to complete the cul-de-sac construction can begin. This includes the remaining kerb and channel works, which includes the formation of the shape of the cul-de-sac to the north end of Panther Place, the remaining road resurfacing works and landscaping.

Driveways

Some of these works to complete the shape of the cul-de-sac will affect the driveways of the northern-most properties on the street and we will come and talk to you specifically about that and the timing for those works.

We will try to give you plenty of notice of this. However, if you need to get into or out of your property or business and we are in the way, please just talk to one of our friendly staff and we will make sure you can use your driveway.

Traffic impacts

  • During this time, traffic will be two-way along Panther Place, however, some on-street parking will be removed close to where we are working.
  • The cul-de-sac head at the end of Panther Place will be closed to all non-residential traffic.
  • Please be on the lookout for changes to the traffic management and follow the signs
  • Access to properties and businesses will be maintained throughout the works. If you need to be escorted, please speak to staff onsite.  Our friendly staff can also assist with any queries.
  • The speed limit around our work site is 30kph to keep our workers safe.
  • We know this work is disruptive, so we appreciate your patience and understanding.  Thanks for your cooperation.

Information for residents and businesses

  • There will be increased construction noise and vibration at times, but we will do our best to keep this to a minimum. The timing of the work and certain activities will depend on the weather and the condition of the roads. We will provide updates if there are changes to the planned works.
  • Please put your bins out as usual by 6am on your collection day.  Our team will move them and return them if needed.
