Details

Due to additional scope of works, Fulton Hogan will be working overnight from Sunday 21 April 2024 for 2 nights, between 6pm - 7am, to remove and replace sections of asphalt on the road, construct the entranceways to Jellie Park and Ilam Health and complete line marking removal and installation.

The work is being undertaken at night when traffic volumes are lower to avoid congestion and disruption. It is also safer for work crews and road users. Please note - this work is highly weather dependant and may need to be rescheduled.

Traffic impacts

Ilam Road will be closed nightly between Chateau Drive and Jellie Park from 6pm, with the road closure extending south to Memorial Avenue, and including Chateau Drive at 10pm. Residents will be individually liaised with regarding access during this time, but please expect delays.

Please note - if you need to use your vehicle during this time, please park on a street nearby or you may be asked to park on Ilam Road outside of the work site during these works. Fulton Hogan's friendly staff on site can assist with any queries. Footpath access around the work site will be maintained. A 30kph speed limit will be in place so Fulton Hogan can keep its workers and everyone safe. Please keep an eye out for changes in traffic management.

Night works

The work crew need lights to see what they are working on, you may notice extra light coming from the street. There will be noise from trucks, machinery and the crew working overnight. We know that night works are more disruptive, the work crew will try to limit this as much as possible.

The work crew will aim to get the most disruptive work carried out first and to complete the work as quickly as possible. Please note - the bulk of the invasive works will be completed on the first night.
