Why |
The existing irrigation system is unable to maintain a satisfactory grass cover during dry summers due to poor water pressure and overall age and condition of the system, which can result in an unsafe playing surface. The new system will allow an improvement in playing quality for both summer and winter sports. |

Details
The works include the installation of a new irrigation system and water supply, resurfacing of the central cricket block and establishment of a new turf grass surface. The full scope of works is as follows:

- Installation of temporary fencing.
- Site clearance.
- Existing sprinkler head salvage.
- Installation of a new irrigation system.
- Resurfacing of the cricket block.
- Minor surface levelling around cricket block and softball diamond.
- Turf grass sowing and grow-in.
- Temporary fencing will be installed around the work site for the duration of the project.
- We anticipate there will be some minor noise associated with general trenching and levelling machinery and as materials are brought into the site. We will be making every effort to minimise the impact of this work as much as possible.
- Work will take around four months to complete. We expect to reopen the grounds by mid-to-late January 2024.
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
