Halswell Junction Road - extension

What

We are extending a temporary traffic management layout.

Why

Due to good progress, we have created the opportunity to complete some work that was scheduled for later in the year at the Foremans Road (east)/Halswell Junction Road intersection. This work would have required another road closure; instead we will extend the current closure to complete the road construction.

Where

Foremans Road (east)/Halswell Junction Road intersection, Islington.

When

6 October 2023 to late November 2023, (weather/site condition dependent).

Contact

The contractor is Fulton Hogan. Phone 0800 762 334, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm or email cant.info@fultonhogan.com. After business hours, please feel free to call us if the matter is urgent.

Details

Traffic Impacts

  • The road closure at Foremans Road (east) will be extended from Friday 6 October for approximately 6 weeks.
  • There will be no access in or out during this time so please use the signposted detour routes.
  • Please look out for our staff and follow their instructions. Footpath access around our work site will be maintained.
  • This will be installed in conjunction with the existing one way systems; please follow signs on site. A 30kph speed limit will be in place. Please note - resident access will be provided.
  • From Saturday 14 October until Tuesday 17 October Foremans Road (west) will be closed to all vehicles so we can complete the road construction in this area (shown on the diagram on the right). Please use the signposted detour routes.  Please note - this work is weather dependant so if the forecast is poor, work will be rescheduled to the next fine day.

Driveway access

  • Access to properties will be maintained. However, we may need to work in front of driveways from time to time.
  • We will try to give you plenty notice of this. However, if you need to get into or out of your property and we are in the way, please just talk to one of our friendly staff and we will make sure you can use your driveway.
  • We’re sorry for any disruption and thank you for your patience.
