Details
- We’re building a new road to link Halswell Junction Road to Waterloo Road. This includes construction of the new road, a new watermain, and work on underground services. This will be followed by road resurfacing, streetscape improvements and landscaping. There is also work to be completed on Waterloo Road for the South Express Major Cycle Route. This work will require one way traffic management systems during this time, as shown over the page.
Traffic impacts - please see map on page 2
- The one way traffic management system will be installed on Monday 19 June. Traffic will travel northbound on Halswell Junction Road, from Main South Road to Waterloo Road. Traffic will travel eastbound on Foremans Road, from the MOVe Freight truck entrance to Leslie Park.
- Please follow the detour signs. Our friendly staff on site can also assist with any queries. Footpath access around our work site will be maintained. A 30kph speed limit will be in place so we can keep our workers and everyone safe. Please keep an eye out for changes in traffic management.
Driveway access
- Access to properties will be maintained. However, we may need to work in front of driveways from time to time. We will try to give you plenty notice of this. However, if you need to get into or out of your property and we are in the way, please just talk to one of our friendly staff and we will make sure you can use your driveway.

Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.
Safety
Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
