We're making essential traffic signal upgrades at this busy intersection.
We're working at the intersection of Papanui Road, Heaton Street and Innes Road between Sunday 11 May and late June 2025.
Our work involves replacing the traffic signals, controller and cables, as they are at the end of their useful life.
Key information:
- We’ll begin working at 6pm on Sunday nights and 7.30pm on weekday nights.
- Our work will wrap up by 6am each morning.
- We will not be working on Friday and Saturday nights.
- We’ll be using temporary traffic lights during our working hours.
- This is expected to cause delays, so we encourage people to allow more time when travelling through the intersection.
- You may see the contractor undertaking some minor work during school hours to prepare for the night works.
