Master Plan alt=""

The Main Road Master Plan was adopted by Council in November 2014. The purpose of the Master Plan is to improve the safety and overall look and feel of the corridor, especially at activity points and commercial centres along the route. Some changes have already been achieved through SCIRT (Stronger Christchurch Infrastructure Rebuild Team) repair works and progress being made on the Coastal Pathway.

Redcliffs Village

Redcliffs provides a focal point for local services and commercial activity that meets the day-to-day needs of the surrounding community. A user-friendly environment with a welcoming atmosphere will attract people to the village and enable them to enjoy it in comfort.

As we begin developing the design for Redcliffs Village enhancement project, as envisioned in the Master Plan, we want to know what the people of Redcliffs and the surrounding areas value and what they would like to see for the project.

We have some aspects of the project that we are doing to ensure the road and pedestrian areas are safe.

Once we have gathered all the feedback, we will proceed in drawing a concept design. When this is complete, we will then consult on this design.

Moncks Bay

Moncks Bay car park is situated on the south side of Main Road approximately 200 metres east of Christchurch Yacht Club. We are developing a design to upgrade this car park and the surrounding landscaping. We would like your views on what aspects you would like to see.
