Description

Starting from Te Oka Bay Road, 500m North of the Magnet Bay Road junction, the track traverses and descends through bush.

After approximately 600m across a large grassy clearing, there is a signposted hard right turn, and the track descends steeply, re-entering the bush and dropping to the Te Kaio Stream.

Just before the river crossing, there is a signposted 10-minute return track to visit a waterfall.

After crossing the river, the track climbs gradually through the bush until arriving at a stile at the junction with the Middle Spur Track.

Warning

In winter, tracks can be wet and slippery, so please proceed with caution.

After heavy rain, the Te Kaio Stream may be impassable.
