Learn lots of practical tips for personal and family life story writing during this comprehensive workshop.

Writing life stories your way workshop helps people to write their own stories or family stories in a way that is unique to them and record them as taonga for future generations and the Canterbury community.

Take part in some fun exercises, and create a personalised 'Road Map' for a unique project, which will act as a guide to help you to get started on your writing journey.

Topics covered include: Defining the project, elements of a great story, characters, research and interviewing, truth and trauma, plotting and story structure, writing, editing and publishing.

All attendees leave the workshop with 30 pages of comprehensive course notes.

Tea and coffee will be provided during the event.
