With more than 100 years of history, this year we will capture stories of learning and the Workers' Educational Association (WEA) and share them on the radio and with a celebration with shared kai.
We invite anyone associated with the Canterbury Workers' Educational Association including students and tutors to record their stories of the WEA.
This aural history will be turned into a radio broadcast and podcast by Plains FM. We will also capture some video footage. We will then hold a celebratory afternoon tea to thank participants and share some of the stories of living and learning at the WEA.
We will have a recording studio set up to record peoples' stories about the Canterbury WEA, we will ask three questions:
We will also have a visual display of a learner's lifelong learning journey throughout the festival.
The story-sharing sessions run daily until 20 October. Booking is required: margaret@cwea.org.nz.
The advertised afternoon has been postponed - please contact the WEA for details.
