Come along to the Christchurch Guild of Weavers and Spinners rooms and see demonstrations of preparing fleece, wheel and spindle spinning, weaving on a variety of looms, knitting, crochet, tapestry, embroidery, felting and braiding.
The Guild will open their rooms and will be demonstrating many and varied wool and fibre crafts. There may be opportunities to have a go and there will be samples and exhibits of finished items for viewing.
These demonstrations will show how the items are made from sheep's fleece and yarns. The tools used are the same as were used centuries ago. A wide range of techniques will be demonstrated.
