King's Birthday at Ferrymead Heritage Park

Join us for a fun-filled day of steam and good old-fashioned fun as we celebrate King’s Birthday Weekend.

Soak up the sounds of tradition as the splendid Sumner Silver Band fills the park with the rousing tunes of a classic brass band, live and utterly brilliant.

The Canterbury Railway Society is hosting two special guest trains:

  • D16 from Pleasant Point Railway and Museum
  • A 64 from The Plains Vintage Railway

The Tramway Historical Society will roll out the Kitson steam tram, pulling the double-decker trailer.

Trot along to the bakery and join the marvellous Lady Crumble to fashion your very own royal crown and bake a splendid biscuit, perfect for a proper dunk with your afternoon tea.

Plus, all your favourite societies will be open for you to explore.
