Invertebrate Survey and Discovery

Discover the why and how of surveying invertebrates - suitable for all ages, including those wishing to monitor for conservation reasons.

Discover some basic tools you can choose to survey invertebrates in your local greenspace, conservation project or garden.

We will look at techniques such as sweeping, pitfall traps and wooden discs.

Have a go at finding invertebrates and learn how to identify them with the help of our local experts, Dr. Vikki Smith (aka Spider Woman) and Dr. Nathan Curtis.

Take home the identification keys and ideas to continue identifying critters in your greenspace.

This is suitable for all ages and abilities.
