Integrating old ways with new technologies for vege gardens

Understand soil preparation and planting for your vege garden by returning to traditional ways but using technology and modern thinking to hone your approach.

Join us at the Curator's House Fruit and Vegetable Demonstration Garden, established as an open book for learning.

Section Curator for the past 23 years, Louise Young, will introduce the garden's concept, heritage and her learnings over the decades. Joined by Curator's House Restaurant Head Chef, Vikki Liptrot, they will then share learnings about returning to traditional ways complemented by the use of modern scientific technology to achieve soil health.

Topics will include prepping soil to the Maramataka moon calendar, testing soil prior to fertilising, and using probes before irrigating, followed by a composting demonstration.

Booking required: info@curatorshouse.co.nz.
