Glentunnel - Walking into History

Put your walking shoes on and step back in time for this guided tour around the streets and country lanes of the historic mining village Glentunnel.

Find out about Glentunnel's history involving coal, clay and sand mines in the Malvern area.

The town was originally named Surveyors Gully but was renamed Glentunnel after the tramway tunnel in the glen that gave access to the Homebush coal mine. 

The tour will begin and end at the Glentunnel Museum, finishing up with a cup of tea or coffee at the museum.
