Dance as a Shortcut to Learning

This event explores Philippine dance and includes a workshop, mini-concert and food stalls.

Dance lovers, teachers and others will meet in the morning to participate in a workshop leading to a performance in the afternoon. Simple steps that will characterise the early movement of communication used such as facial expression, arms and feet movement and space will tell the story of a culture. The combination of steps formed into a simple dance will illustrate the unique heritage and history of the Philippine community.

  • Workshop: 10am to 2.30pm
  • Mini-concert: 2.30pm to 4.30pm
  • Food stalls: 11am to 3pm
