Classical Carnatic Music Concert

Master Musicians from South India present a Classical Carnatic Music Concert. Performing the compositions of Music Trinity in Carnatic music Thyagaraja, Dikshathar and Shyama Sastri and others.

This instrumental concert features the electric guitar accompanied by the traditional South Indian percussion instruments kanjira (tambourine), ghatam (claypot), and vocal percussion.

The musicians will improvise on a particular scale or raga and perform the main melody or kriti of the song. Y

ou will enjoy hearing the virtuosic performers bend the notes and make precise calculations of phrases in different rhythm cycles.

There will also be percussion solos and call-and-response engagements between the musicians and the audience.
