Children's music classes

Develop children's musicianship, skill and confidence within an environment of joyful play-based music classes, based on the Kodály approach. Fridays at The Muse.

A new music class, that develops musical skills within a fun, joyful, play-based environment.

It is based on the Kodály approach, an evidence-based approach that leaves no learner behind while extending advanced students.

The Muse is committed to the Kodály approach because they believe it is the best possible way to give children the skills and confidence to become lifelong musicians, with strong reading and aural skills and a resilience for learning that transfers into many other areas of life. Skills that can be transferred to any instrument.

The tutors are Loren Easterbrook, who is a music specialist at Medbury School, and Nikki Berry who leads several choirs in Christchurch. Trial visits are welcome.
