Join us at Avebury House, see our suburb through the eyes of Papers Past and enjoy a vintage market.
We welcome you to Avebury House for our heritage exhibition - this year it's all about Richmond in the News. Check out the exhibit, have a tour of the house and enjoy our famous Devonshire Tea.
This year we are also excited to have the Vintage Market @Avebury on our front lawn. It's going to be a fantastic family day out - don't miss it.
Christchurch has a long newspaper history. As printing technology changed and improved, it became possible to include images, particularly photographs, along with text material. This has made old newspapers a rich source of imagery as well as information for people interested in local history.
Thanks to the riches of Papers Past, much of this material is now readily available and searchable online. Our display will include material from this treasure trove, recording events, people and places in and around the suburb of Richmond.
