Addington Heritage Evening
Gather at Saint Mary's Addington to listen to a range of interesting speakers with musical interludes, followed by supper.
An evening with entertaining speakers including:
- Neville Barrie, a well-known Christchurch musician (and part-time magician), who has been a performance artist and songwriter for over 60 years, as well as a community volunteer.
- John Newman will take us down memory lane as he explains his interest in Elvis Presley and his collection of records, movie reels, radio shows and memorabilia.
- Dave Mitchell will update new heritage information about Burke Street.
There will also be a discussion about some of the leadlight windows at Saint Mary's Church.
We will finish off the evening with iced buns, coffee, tea, and conversation.
