The Council is considering granting a temporary lease to Steven Searle for two years for the purpose of a residential tenancy at the Red House, 281 Beach Road Akaroa. To obtain further details of the proposed lease please contact kathy.jarden@ccc.govt.nz

Takapūneke Reserve -  Lease of Red House Property

This public notice is in accordance with the requirements of section 58(A) of the Reserves Act 1977 (the Act) that the Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū Banks Peninsula Community Board will be recommending to the Council that it grant a lease to Steven Searle for a period of two years for the purpose of a residential tenancy at the Red House, 281 Beach Road Akaroa as a temporary measure to enable the house and gardens to be maintained while the Council discusses the future use of the building and funding is sourced to maintain the property.

The property is described known as the Red House, Lot 2 Deposited Plan 73274 at 281 Beach Road, Akaroa held for the purpose of an Historic Reserve subject to section 58(A) of the Reserves Act 1977

Any person or organization wishing to either make a submission or object to the proposed lease over part of the reserve described in this notice may do so in writing no later than 5pm Friday 22 July 2022 to the person whose contact details appear above. Submitters should indicate in their submission if they wish to appear before a Reserves Hearing Panel to be heard in support of their submission or objection.
