Notice of withdrawal of part of Plan Change 13 - Provisions decided in Plan Change 14 (PC14), Heritage item descheduled in PC14, Extent of Residential Heritage Area (RHA) proposed in Lyttelton
Christchurch City Council decided on 4 June 2025, in accordance with Schedule 1, Clause 8D of the Resource Management Act 1991, to withdraw from Plan Change 13:
Maximum height overlays for New Regent Street and the Arts Centre, which are operative in the District Plan (decided under PC14).
Heritage interface for New Regent Street and the Arts Centre (rejected under PC14).
The following properties, from the proposed Lyttelton RHA:
Bridle Path - 1, 1/8, 2/8, 6, 10, 10A, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 1/20, 2/20, 3/20, 22.
Dudley Road - 2, 9, 13, 15, 17A, 17B, 19 (also referred to as 28A Cunningham Terrace), 21, 23.
These properties are being withdrawn from the RHA as Council considers that they could be excluded without having a major impact on the heritage values of the area as a whole. The exclusion of these properties amends the boundary of the proposed RHA in locations where there
are numerous buildings classified as ‘neutral’.
