Why |
We maintain our retaining walls across the city to make sure they are safe and work effectively. Council has inspected the wall and determined that maintenance work is required to strengthen the wall. |

When |
Work will start mid-February 2021 and is expected to be completed by early March 2021 (weather dependent). Work will be undertaken between Monday and Saturday, 7am to 7pm. |

The contractor is Rock Control. Phone 0800 793 205 between Monday and Friday, 8am to 4.30pm. Please advise us if you have specific property and access requirements, e.g.: vehicle deliveries, medical visits, home help, planned work. |
How will the work impact you?
- There will be limited vehicle access to some houses on Mariners Cove, and Rock Control will let residents know when access is required and any other specific requests
- There will be noise disturbance, particularly during the installation of the large anchors to strengthen the wall
- Some on-street parking will be restricted for safety reasons
Noise
There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.
Bins
Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
