Water restrictions

When we have very dry weather and an increased demand for water, water restrictions may be introduced to conserve water. Notices will be given on social media and local newspapers detailing the dates and level of restriction.

Current water restrictions

Akaroa

Level 1 water restrictions for the Akaroa community are in place during the 2014/15 summer. Level 1 water restrictions mean those with odd-numbered street addresses can water outdoors on odd-numbered days, and those with even-numbered street addresses can water outdoors on even-numbered days.

Christchurch City Council is reminding Akaroa residents and visitors to save water as supply levels drop. View further information about Akaroa water restrictions. Residents can also contact us.
