About this ride
Start: From the top of Mt Pleasant, turn right onto Summit Road and precede approx 1km west. The track starts before the cattle stop, off to the right of Summit Road.
Finish: The Summit Road approx 50m above the Mt Pleasant Road intersection.
Access: Head up Mt Pleasant Road to Summit Road or alternatively bike up Bridle Path track.
Signage: None, but an obvious single track.
- A narrow single track with the odd lava rock to navigate around.
- The track traverses around the top of John Britten Reserve and is one of the flattest tracks on the Port Hills.
- Great views over the Canterbury Plains and the Southern Alps.
