COVID-19 update on parks and tracks

All parks and tracks are open under alert level 2.  To help keep everyone well, please continue to maintain a 2 metre distance from other people when you’re out and about and please wash your hands before and after using equipment in our parks and gardens.

The following are all open:

  • All parks and gardens
  • Public toilets
  • Playgrounds, play equipment or exercise equipment in parks
  • Visitor and information centres
  • Dog parks
  • The Botanic Gardens
  • Boat ramps and wharves
  • Cemeteries

Start: Car park off Hussey Road, near Willowbank Wildlife Reserve

Finish: Same as the starting point.

Distance: 1.3 km

Time: 20 minutes return.

Toilets: In the car park.

Dogs: On a leash at all times on the walkway. There is a designated dog exercise park in Styx Mill Reserve.

Access: Suitable for wheelchairs and buggies.

Description: The Hussey View Walkway is a circuit track that follows the Styx River as it meanders slowly through the reserve. The walk is on flat, very easy terrain with a firm gravel surface, perfect for wheelchair and buggy users.
