  • Wait 2 weeks for the concrete to cure
  • Sunday 30 May (for approx. 2 nights) - install signs

The planned schedule at Riccarton Avenue (opposite Hagley Park oval):

  • Tuesday 11 May (for approx. 3 nights) - construct concrete foundations
  • Wait 2 weeks for the concrete to cure
  • Monday 31 May (for approx. 2 nights) - install signs

Traffic impacts

  • One lane closure will be in place during the nights of work.
  • Some on-street car parks will be temporarily removed and 'No Parking' cones will be placed around affected areas during the day before each night shift.
  • Please be on the lookout for changes to the traffic management and follow the signs.

Impact to residents

  • Access to residents’ driveways may be temporarily removed. Please let our staff know if your driveway is affected and you require access so our team can assist you.
  • Residents can put out their wheelie bins (rubbish, recycling, organics) as normal by 5pm the night before collection. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
  • Works will have no planned impact on current power, telecommunication, or gas services. However, the network can be fragile, so please be prepared in case there is an unexpected service outage.

Night works

  • There will be increased noise, dust, light, and vibration levels that we'll try to keep to a minimum.
  • We'll aim to carry out noisier works, such as saw cutting and hydro-excavation, earlier in the night, where possible. However, there may be instances where this work needs to be done later in the night.
  • Safety is our number one priority. Safety is your responsibility too. Stay clear and stay alert. Keep children and pets at a safe distance from the work site.
  • We know night work is disruptive so we aim to complete this work as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
