We’re planning night works and need to close part of Ferry Road from St Johns Street to the Ferry Road roundabout so we can install 535 metres of wastewater pipeline.

The Eastbound lane of Ferry Road will remain open, while Westbound traffic will be detoured, with clear traffic management in place.

There will be plans in place to allow you access to your property, although there will be no on street parking on Ferry Road available during this time.

Pedestrian access will be open at all times.

These night works will be completed in a single shift from 8pm Saturday night until 10am Sunday morning, to minimise disruption to residents.

If we need to do extra work outside of these times, we'll let you know.

We’ve scheduled this work for the end of January and expect it to be completed in one 14-hour night shift.

We’ll confirm the exact dates of this work before Christmas.

This work is part of a project to connect Lyttelton Harbour’s wastewater to the main Christchurch system
