Papanui / St Albans - wastewater renewals : Christchurch City Council

What	We’re replacing wastewater mains and laterals at various locations in Papanui and St Albans.
Why	The existing pipes have reached the end of their service life and require replacing.
Where	Tomes Road / Bennett Street and refer to map for others, Papanui / St Albans.
When	24 May 2021 to late June 2022. Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm (weather/site condition dependent).

Please advise Peter if you have specific property access requirements e.g. medical visits, home help, large vehicle deliveries or planned works.

Work area: Tomes Road, Mays Road, Paparoa Street, Chapter Street, Claremont Avenue, Bennett Street, Norfolk Street, Scotston Avenue, Lingard Street, Mathias Street, Tavendale Place, Papanui / St Albans.
Vehicle access to properties may be temporarily restricted at times. The contractor will door knock beforehand to allow the movement of vehicles if necessary.
The work may result in increased dust, noise and vibrations. We will try to keep any disruption to a minimum and we apologise in advance for any inconvenience.
Wastewater services to properties will be maintained.

Noise

There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.

Bins

Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
