Details

We are starting Stage 2 of the car park sealing at Te Nukutai o Tapoa-Naval Point Development Plan.

As part of the work we will be:

  • Upgrading services, such as the storm water and water main.
  • Sealing a section of the car park to the west of the Stage 1 section that was sealed last year.

Site access

  • Vehicle and pedestrian detours will be in place during construction (see map below).
  • Part of the parking lot area will be out of use while the work is carried out, with the car park area that was sealed in 2021 providing the bulk of parking for the site during construction.
  • There will be access to the public launch ramp while the work is carried out, although this may be limited at times.

Construction impacts

  • There will be increased noise, dust, light, and vibration levels that we will try to keep to a minimum.
  • There may be extended work hours at times, to limit impacts for boat launching during the day.
  • Safety is our number one priority. Safety is your responsibility too. Stay clear and stay alert. Keep children and pets at a safe distance from the work site.
  • Please follow signage outlining how vehicle and pedestrian access to the site will work during construction.
