Bikes in Schools

We're supporting Bikes in Schools programmes so students can have the opportunity to learn how to cycle confidently and have regular access to bikes at school.

The programme involves

  • Constructing purpose-built cycle tracks on the school grounds.
  • A fleet of new bikes and bike helmets, and storage facility.

Completed tracks

Some schools have already completed their tracks and biking is now part of the curriculum and everyday life.

The good news is the tracks are available outside of school hours for the community to use too.

Go check them out:

  • Cotswold School
  • Knights Stream School - Mingimingi Hautoa
  • Middleton Grange School
  • Northcote School
  • Pāpanui School
  • Rāwhiti School
  • Somerfield School
  • South Hornby School
  • St Francis of Assisi School
  • Te Ara Koropiko West Spreydon School

Please remember the tracks are the property of the school.

Please enjoy and respect the bike tracks and take note of any signage.

Users are responsible for their own health and safety. This includes ensuring helmets are worn, bicycles are safe to ride, and you ride carefully.
