Check the Christchurch District Plan to find out whether what you are doing is permitted or requires resource consent.
Find out which zone or features relate to a property, then check the relevant chapter to find out what rules apply.
You also need to check the coastal hazard provisions of the Christchurch City Plan and the Banks Peninsula District Plan, which still apply.
National Environmental Standards issued by the Government override any provisions in the Christchurch District Plan that conflict with, or duplicate, them. Please refer to the additional provisions below.
