Council updates  |  1 Jul 2022

Christchurch City Council is meeting at 9.30am on Thursday 7 July. The main items on the agenda for the public part of the meeting are:

  • A report that provides the Council with an overview of the initiatives and issues recently considered by the Community Boards.
  • Reports from the Banks Peninsula, Papanui-Innes, Linwood-Central-Heathcote, Spreydon-Cashmere and Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Boards recommending the Council introduce lower speed limits on a number of streets in each Board area.
  • A report from the Banks Peninsula Community Board that recommends the Council approve a residential lease of the Red House property in Takapūneke Reserve.
  • A report from a Hearings Panel recommending the Council approve a revised design scheme for the Lincoln Road public transport improvements between Curletts Road and Whiteleigh Avenue.
  • A report that recommends the Council makes some changes to Armagh Street, between Park Terrace and Oxford Terrace, to make it safer for cyclists.
  • A report presenting the Commissioner’s recommendations on Private Plan Change 10 - Partial Removal of Meadowlands Exemplar Overlay, North Halswell. The report recommends the Council adopt the Commissioner’s recommendations.
  • The Building Consenting Unit and the Planning and Consents Unit reports for the period March, April and May 2022.
  • A report on the Council’s draft submission on the Exposure Draft of National Policy Statement for Indigenous Biodiversity.
