Keen film goers will get a second chance to see two popular movies at the Arts Centre.

Two screenings that were part of the Leighs Construction Outdoor Cinema Season were cancelled by rain in January but due to popular demand they have been rescheduled for Friday 9 March. They are the Disney hit Moana at 6pm and Taika Waititi-directed Kiwi movie Hunt for the Wilderpeople at 8pm.

The Leighs Construction Outdoor Cinema season is at the Arts Centre.

The movies will be shown in the Arts Centre's historic North Quad where some family-sized beanbags are being provided by FindChCh.

If the weather is wet, the screenings on 9 February (Despicable Me at 6pm and Casino Royale at 8pm) and 9 March will be moved into the recently restored Great Hall at the Arts Centre, next to the North Quad.

Gold coin donations for the screenings will go towards the restoration of the heritage Arts Centre buildings.  Movie goers should bring their own cushions or blankets to sit on.
