Councillor for Burwood Ward.
Glenn was first elected in 2010 as a Councillor for the Burwood/Pegasus ward, re-elected in 2013 and then in elected in 2016 for the new Burwood ward.
He is the Chair of the Housing Task-force and Deputy Chair of the Community and Social Development committee, continuing his roles in the previous term of the Council.
Since being first elected effectively between the two earthquakes of September 2010 and February 2011, Glenn has made insurance advocacy and housing issues his priority, reflecting the needs of his hard hit ward.
Having been a Presbyterian Minister for over 20 years when the February 22 2011 earthquake struck and a Councillor for four months to the day, Glenn fell back on his default settings of community well-being in attending to and facilitating the provision of basic needs in his ward.
With his interest in multi-sport, he is passionate about the Avon Otakaro river corridor, running through his ward, becoming a recreational, educational cultural experience for all, with the river serving to unite the city.
