The Council’s animal shelter provides proper and sufficient food, water and adequate shelter for found dogs and stock during their stay.
We have temporarily stopped the weekly dog microchipping sessions until further notice.
Our animal shelter is closed to the public, but we're still caring for animals. Currently, no animals at our shelter can be adopted. If adoptions resume during the COVID-19 emergency period, these dogs will be posted on Facebook as normal.
If you've been advised that your dog is currently at the shelter, please contact the shelter directly on (03) 941 7048 and leave a message. We'll be in touch to make arrangements for you to pick up your dog.
