If visiting the animal shelter you may see a dog that you like to adopt, you must be prepared to commit to the health, welfare and care of the dog. You can discuss adopting a dog with shelter staff.
When adopting a dog you need to bring a form of identification, such as your driver's licence, passport, utility bill or birth certificate.
To adopt a dog from the Council's animal shelter, you must be over 16 years of age.
