Join the ranger team on Saturday 5 August and help make a difference to your environment and community.

Family volunteering

Located next to Canterbury Agricultural Park, Ngā Puna Wai is a wetland reserve with a lake and recreational tracks.

32 hectares of the reserve is currently being developed into a major sports complex encompassing facilities for a variety of disciplines.

Due to the development, a number of plants from the site have been transplanted to a revegetation area nearby where they will be well sheltered.

For additional protection, volunteers are needed to infill 200 native plants around the transplants and spread mulch.
