Contact

Please register your interest in an event by contacting Nigel Morritt at nigel.morritt@ccc.govt.nz or 027 234 1353.

You will receive more information in the week leading up to the event. Planting events may be cancelled if weather is too poor.

Community planting days

Get involved in a community planting day at Halswell Quarry in 2020 and help create a more diverse wetland environment and healthy habitat for wildlife.

Due to Covid19 restrictions, registrations are essential to help us limit numbers on sites.

Numbers are limited based on being able to maintain physical distance practicably within each site. Register your attendance by emailing Nigel.Morritt@ccc.govt.nz. Nigel will confirm attendance or let you know if you're on a waiting list.

We will require contact details for everyone attending so we can trace them in the event of a Covid19 related illness in the group. If you feel unwell, you must stay home.

Please bring your own gardening gloves and spade if you have one (labelled). Some spades will be provided. Unfortunately we will not be providing a BBQ at our events just yet, but you are welcome to bring your own morning tea to enjoy while in the park.

Event dates

Meet at the Visitor Centre,  a single-storey stone cottage on the main drive off Kennedy's Bush Road. Directions to the planting site will be displayed.
